Amile is a native of Jackson, MS and a student in the Certificate in New Play Directing program at Hollins. Amile is a native of Jackson, MS and a student in the Certificate in New Play Directing program at Hollins. He is an award winning director, choreographer, and producer with degrees from Belhaven University (theatre and philosophy) and Reformed Theological Seminary (M.A. theological studies). His feature film work has included the John Cassavetes nominated The Dynamiter, as well as projects ranging from mainstream (Eden and The Blue Line) to micro budget projects (Blood Country and Boots and Trenches). Amile and his wife Kathryn are the founding artistic directors of Kinetic Etchings Dance Project where Amile continues to serve as a choreographer in residence. Amile is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and the American Association of Political Consultants. His work has been nominated for Independent Spirit Awards, Best of Show Addy Awards, and National Foundation for Advancement in the ARTS Awards.
