David Douglas is a playwright, award-winning short story author, and founder of Stage Writers — a Dallas-based playwright organization. With a penchant for combining romance and mystery, he often writes of central love stories affected (for better or worse) by murder, secrets, or past transgressions. His full-length play, RAILBIRD, has received readings in the First Impressions Festival (Imprint Theatreworks) and the Play Readers Club (Our Productions Theatre Co.). His short plays have been featured at Rover Dramawerks, Stage Writers, Sundown Collaborative Theatre, and the Dallas One-Minute Play Festival (#1MPF/Kitchen Dog Theater). David is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and serves as Director of Technology for Writers Organizations 'Round Dallas (WORD). In addition to writing, David loves watching classic and independent films, as well as reading, attending, and directing plays.

    10-MINUTE PLAY — It's an average morning. Manny is just returning home, Dawn is running late for a yoga class, and their marriage is in a rut. What they need are new experiences.
  • Flower Delivery
    5-MINUTE PLAY — Aaron delivers a bouquet of flowers to a beautiful young woman and manipulates the situation to create an unexpected moment.
