  • MALHEUR
    4 Feb. 2018
A seemingly random group of strangers, doomed to weather a weekend together in a wilderness retreat, struggle to enjoy the wildlife, their hosts, and each other’s company. Carnes slyly reveals just how blind each of them is to their connections to each other, and to the long-ago travelers who tried to survive Malheur. (Think Agatha Christie meets Ionesco, both desperate for a cell phone signal.) An eerily poetic black comedy.
  • Self Preservation
    16 Mar. 2017
A dark comedy filled to bursting with romantic tension. Foster seamlessly knits together a sense of Victorian delicacy and the albatross of marital obligations with this would-be couple's simmering, forbidden lust. Taxidermy has never seemed so alive.
  • Normal
    16 Mar. 2017
Foster whips up unexpected laughs from what would normally be a terrifying encounter. The suspense doesn't let up and the balance of power snaps back and forth between the man and woman as they both scramble to press their advantage.
  • A DIANE ARBUS CHRISTMAS
    2 Aug. 2016
Wonderfully crafted black comedy; lives up to its title.
