Artistic Statement

My writing explores humanity and our journey through existence, knowing, and thinking. My subject is the strange, and my lens is womanhood. I am interested in woman(s) relationship to nature and our own nature, and the nature of reality. I am attracted to the mathematics of circumstance and the results of poetic justice. My travel routes are: theology, philosophy, social incongruences, evolutionary mishaps, climate change, magic, love, spirituality, and bi sexuality. My currency: the re-enchantment of art in the remix culture. I have been called an existentialist. I am not sure that I am, but I know that in that internal conflict lies the soul of my work. I want to make a difference. I want to leave indelible marks in mind, heart, and spirit. I tell stories that move through multi-layered connections of history, science, and fiction told through speculation and comedy. I create alternate realities because I believe that any imagined story, treated with verisimilitude, can challenge the standards of society. The results of my work are hyper-sensical, ridiculous, and difficult narratives that attempt to run our current system of thinking through a filter of female logic, of simple what if(s), and of the mysterious circumstance.
