I know there is a good a play in there, it's all on the page, ALL, too much, and now I need to double down, to fucking be bold and fearless and excavate it...to take risks and build confidence and earn the right to sit at a table with actors, director, designers, producers - warriors of the truth, story junkies, collaborators - to have a piece worthy of their time. To see it manifest, to learn the process of doing this well, of doing it right...that what we put up, that my story becomes our story, that what is rendered from my soul opens yours up...and that for a moment, we are one. For a moment we find communion in each other, and that our understanding of each other...of THE other...grows. That is what I hope to accomplish every time I write something That is what I hope to accomp as an artist.
