30 single words - used as many times as possible to create an engaging scene - that was the task, but what MARILYN OLLETT does with those words is so powerful... so haunting. Never have stage directions meant so much for a cast, as they do in this emotionally charged one minute. WOW.

    DONNA!!!!!!!!!

This charming short play by LISA DELLAGIARINO FERIEND is perfection. Put a recently cursed merman on a beach - add one woman just wanting to day drink and short out a 1,000 piece puzzle with her girlfriends - and you get a fabulous back and forth due to the talent and imagination of LISA. Audiences will delight in this pair's quirky interactions.
  • The Night Belongs to Me

Oh, how I envied the designer who puts together the lighting for this short play by BRENT ALLES. The tone... the mood... the poetry... MARK and NINA share a moment in time that neither will forget. What a lovely and haunting piece.
  • The Council of Misplaced Things
    27 Feb. 2024
Oh... I know this council well. RACHEL FEENY-WILLIAMS gives charming life to a way-to-common problem of misplacing things...so... many... things. What a brilliant take on a prompt about inanimate objects. RACHEL understands and highlights the pitfalls of memory and makes us smile along the way. What a delightful council... despite its ultimately naughty nature. RACHEL AND HER PLAYS are true gems.
  • 18,936 Steps (A Monologue)
    26 Feb. 2024
There are no words for the worry and anxiety that come with a medical discovery for a loved one and the procedures that follow, but RACHEL FEENY-WILLIAMS has found the right ones. 18,936 is a piece that so many audience members will connect with after experiencing some form of this anxiety-ridden process. RACHEL puts it all out there with this powerful monologue. It is raw, tender, and real. Thank you, Rachel.
  • Her Story
    26 Feb. 2024
RACHEL! How could you do this to me?? This new short play by RACHEL FEENY-WILLIAMS is a gut punch. Audiences will connect with a mother who can't let go. The pain of losing a child through death is agonizing enough, but to never know if she is dead or not? TERRIFYING. This is a must read.
  • 4 Words of Advice (5 minute play)
    25 Feb. 2024
I ADORED this 5-minute play by ELISABETH GIFFIN SPECKMAN. Four unique voices. Four varied perspectives. Four simple words. Is it okay to be jealous that I didn't write this? I see this so clearly on stage or in a ZOOM performance - that's not easy to satisfy the requirements of both. BRAVA.
  • Backwards Living

    Redheads... every time.

CHRISTOPHER SOUCY has created a world where forward and backward connect. Would you want to know your future? Would you make the same choices given the outcomes? This thoughtful and engaging short piece plays with timing and the art of banter to a place of true delight.

STUNNING. This poetic 2-minute monologue by WREN AUBREY LATHAM is sublime. LATHAM goes to the heart of what we are doing to boys... and girls... in society. The language is true perfection. BRAVA.
