A touching story of connection. I teared up at the letter; wonderful job.

Incredible. This is one of the best pieces I have read in a while. Hayakawa truly captures the intricate balance of societal pressures and the need to be who you are. Teary-eyed and goosebumps...perfect.

An amazing piece of poetry; I can already imagine the stone-like actor coming to life through their words and slight actions. Wow.

Heart wrenching. A powerful telling of the trans story. This must be amazing to see live!

Eerie. A reminder of the connections we keep over the distance of time and location. Makes you wonder what power was held over those boys...

Well damn that was creepy! Well written, well done, and I hope to see it live (or as live as Joan can make it!)

This play had my friend and I rolling; would love to see it live.
  • Calling Puerto Rico
    28 Feb. 2023
I was lucky enough to see this live at Seven Angels in CT. It was a magical experience. Such a true to life telling of the tragedy that befell PR. It touched on personal lives as well as the overarching issues that effect Puerto Ricans and the governments regulations that put the residents more at risk. I laughed, cried, and sat with bated breath. For me, the hardest and my favorite part, was when all three storylines are calling for help. Produce this again and again. Trust me.

Jesus. Reading/imagining Woman's obsession, patience, and anger was quite an experience. I'm happy art like this exists. I happen to be wearing blue today. That's one way to be involved. One reason I enjoyed this was because it is authentic. Another reason is because it felt like it was happening right now. I'm not always a fan of reading scripts but by reading this one I felt like I played a part in it, played a part in bringing it to life. Wonderful job W.J.
  • PAST PERFECT

I really enjoyed this. Our protagonist does a good job showing what can happen when we focus on the past...when we focus on what has happened rather than what can happen. A sobering thought.
