DAWN JAMIESON is an actor and a playwright. Mangled Beams about the native american ironworkers brought in to remove the mangled beams at 9/11 was her first play to be produced by American Indian Artists Inc. It was first developed by the Autry Native Voices program and read at La Jolla and LA. It was further developed at the Lark Play Development Center and it had a reading at the Public Theater. Other plays written by Dawn include Silent Quest (abusive priest hunt) developed at Times Square Playwrights and Crooked Paths (Medicare fraud on a reservation) developed by AMERINDA. She’s currently working on Mush Hole (an infamous residential school for natives). As an actor, she has appeared on Broadway and on many other New York stages as well as in film. She’s a member of the Times Square Playwrights, Dramatists' Guild, AEA, and SAG-AFTRA where she serves on the National Native Americans Committee.
