Yarrrrr! I enjoyed this one very much! I was wondering where things were going and I wasn't disappointed when we got there. A delightful piece with a clever ending.

  • Randy Hunt: Outpost

[8/27/2024] I love suspense and this play didn't disappoint. But this play is so much more than that. Mix a cup of Sci-fi, a half-cup of that aforementioned suspense, a third of a cup of romance, a teaspoon of the unexpected, a dash of bittersweet, and a pinch of hope, and you'll get OUTPOST, by Scott Sickles. A delicious recipe by an amazing "chef"!

  • Randy Hunt: Amontillado

The Cask of Amontillado is a classic, and Vaughan has taken it and added his spin to the story, giving us a little more insight from the other side, while staying true to Poe's original story.

  • Randy Hunt: 1 Minute More

Wendy Vogel has created a very clever and well-crafted one-minute monologue with ONE MORE MINUTE. A dark twist on one's final thoughts.

  • Randy Hunt: The Chosen Herd

While I can't relate to the recreational activities of the main character (and what comes with that), I can only imagine that this is completely plausible. A really fun monologue that would be fun to see or perform.

  • Randy Hunt: Off Center

Plays like this are right up my alley (to read and write!) It's witty and endearing and has a beautiful flow and heartwarming ending. It's amazing how much character development is done here in such a short piece. Loved it!

  • Randy Hunt: Jack Stacy Hotel Detective: Episode One - Look Up Look Out (On the Air Series)

Like all of Bob's radio plays, this one is a winner! I'm a bit biased on this particular one because the character of Jack Stacy was written for me to perform. Nonetheless, this is a fun and clever take on the type of show you would have gathered around the radio for if you were living in the 1930s. So much fun!

  • Randy Hunt: Dead Brother, Will You Walk Through the Fire With Me?

I had the pleasure of seeing the first stage reading of this play. Jonny has written a very powerful piece that cleverly intertwines a tragic series of events from the past, some flashback scenes, and some present-day interactions with the victim that are brought to life by a close family member, if only in his mind. There's a lot to process in this play, but I was absolutely enthralled with the reading and would love to see it come to life on a stage.

  • Randy Hunt: The Shittiest Play

The title is not hyperbole. It literally is a very #@&$#! play. Another fun short play from Bolduc!

  • Randy Hunt: Twelve Hangry Jurors

This is such a clever and fun spin on the typical "jury room" drama. Each of the twelve jurors has their own personality or quirk -- which brings an interesting spin to the biggest decision of their day (or so it would seem). Hayet has written another gem that will delight any audience!
