  • Paul Braverman: Erstwhile

This fast-paced short play shows us that one person's trash is another person's treasure, in more ways than one. Break-ups are messy. This barbed comedy shows what can happen during the "clean up." A fun piece for three actors to sink their teeth into.

  • Paul Braverman: Snowbirds

This ten minute comedy from Philip Middleton Williams is a mistaken-identity farce filled with heart and laughs. We have a terrific set-up, and each entrance heightens both the confusion and the humor. The characters are drawn so well, you'll want to spend Thanksgiving with them.

  • Paul Braverman: Erstwhile (or An Assassins Erstwhile Poem)

This fine monologue from Ken Love is a compelling reminder that everyone is the hero of their own story. A poet can be a killer, and an assassin can be a poet, even if for an audience of one.

  • Paul Braverman: Erstwhile (short)

There is much to love about this short play from David Hilder. The tension and connection between the two characters is palpable from the start and builds throughout. Hilder wisely wastes very little time on exposition, instead leaving to the audience to fill in the blanks. The time and place make the situation even more compelling, and like me, you'll want to see what happens at the coffee shop at 6p. Bravo!

  • Paul Braverman: Erstwhile or The Importance of Being Ernst Weil

What's in a name? In the case of Nora Louise Syran's powerful monologue, pretty much everything. In just a couple of pages, Syran manages to create a bridge of identity and purpose that spans from 1945 to today. This is a compelling piece of writing.

  • Paul Braverman: Erstwhile (One Act)

Paul Donnelly has crafted a short play that is both funny and touching. David and Seth are both immensely likeable and relatable. Seth is being haunted by his ex until he is finally willing to be both candid and vulnerable with David, who endearingly agrees to help purge the ghost. A well-written, terrific metaphor that will be lots of fun to stage and block.

This is a warm, touching short play from Sam Heyman. The connection between the two characters was never gone, even after forty years of separation. It takes an excellent writer like Heyman to somehow create this depth of relationship in less than ten minutes.

Georgia Xanthopoulou has written a lovely, lyrical, evocative re-telling of Persephone. So many quotable lines, so much vivid imagery - actors and directors alike will have a field day with this superbly written piece.

Evan Baughfman's short play is a celebration of ice cream, and also a celebration of all the evocative smells and tastes that instantly transport us to wonderful memories, and the people in our lives who helped make them.

  • Paul Braverman: The Meadow - 10 Minute Play

This ten-minute play feels like the denouement of a two-hour noir. Ryan Kaminski pulls us in right away, and keeps piling on the mystery, right up until the final twist. I highly recommend this excellent short play, especially for two actresses to have a chance to really dig in to a couple of meaty roles.
