I'm an Americam expatriate and have been living and working as a dramaturg in Norway since the 1980's, mainly at the Rogaland Theatre in Stavanger. I translate Norwegian and Danish into English, and English and Danish into Norwegian. Four of my translations from Danish have been produced five times, and my translation of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman has been produced three times in Norway. My book, Innføring i dramaturgi, is currently in its fourth printing and is widely used in Scandinavian. At the Rogaland Theatre I've commissioned probably a hundred translations, as well as six new plays by Jon Fosse. These have subseqently been produced over one hundred times in Europe.
