Harrowing and beautiful, this play is Osmundsen turning his characteristic compassion towards unthinkable darkness and trying to find a light, any light, within it. The result is haunting and profound. Won't be forgetting this one any time soon.

A cutting and heartfelt and brilliantly-structured examination of a searingly complex mother-son relationship. As always with Osmundsen's work, I am so enthralled by the effortless empathy and pathos he brings to every character, no matter how small, and the organic ways interpersonal dynamics play out against smart and subtle theatrical conceits. Not a moment feels false. Excellent!

I read this play yesterday and haven't stopped thinking about it since. A tremendous piece of work that goes to some incredibly complex, nuanced, and furious places with such ease and confidence, only to end on a note of radical hopefulness. Gripping dilemmas, vivid, unforgettable characters - this was a true privilege to read!

This is a play about generational divides, what we do with inherited stigma, and the immense difficulty of self-knowledge at every age of life. Osmundsen mines these themes with tremendous, clear-eyed empathy and a vivid sense of the interpersonal dynamics between wonderfully-drawn characters. I came away moved and enlightened. Beautiful, beautiful play!

A beautiful, heart-wrenching play. A true masterclass in compassion. Osmundsen's writing is effortlessly incisive, bringing us fully into Henry's world with clarity, vulnerability, and deeply rooted sympathy for every character. Works on every level - what a joy to read!
