Nina Domingue entered the world of theatre through the art of Storytelling. She has written many one person shows including Ya Mama! A play about losing her mother, gaining a stepmother and becoming a mother, which she performed at Cleveland Public Theatre and the New York International Fringe Festival. Other solo shows include Mo Pas Connin and Wade In The Water and plays for children including: Jinle and the Great King, which was commissioned for a performed by the Theatre Elite Ensemble of the Cleveland School of the Arts, A Jewel of a Tale, The Web of Anansi, Jack and Jill’s Supercolossal Storybook Adventure which all performed at the Cleveland Play House and Sundiata: Child of Lion and Buffalo, which was commissioned and produced at Talespinner Children’s Theatre. In the 2019-2020 theatrical season she is the Nord Foundation Playwriting Fellow and Catapult Artist at Cleveland Public Theatre and the Barbara Smith Writer in Residence at Twelve Literary Arts, Inc. She believes that imagination is one of our greatest gifts, and if you imagine it, it can be!
