I write plays that root for the underdog, which means they root for everyone. My characters are stuck managing life from the inside out. Who they are, who they’re seen as, and who they want to be are forever out of sync. While I’ve learned that most wisecracks that come to mind should not be said aloud, my characters follow no such convention. The road is filled with idiots and we all take our turn being one.
