This is a beautiful play that had me on the edge of my seat when I saw it in production a few months ago. It would resonate very well with high school and college students. Please Stay Here is effective, never preachy, and always compelling.

This play nails the ridiculous combination of banality, competition, and terror that come with working a dead-end office job. It's funny, timeless—and in a last minute twist—upsetting. A big thumbs up for this short and robust ten-minute play.

I spent the duration of the reading at The Goodman laughing out loud. I spent many days following the reading thinking about the characters and the choices they made. Messina won't give you any easy answers on what it means to be a working mother, nor should it. It's a wonderful addition to our theatrical landscape.

This play takes the audience in directions they never expected to go. It's funny, disturbing, and oh-so-very Midwestern. I would love to see a full production of this.
