Paula Vogel once said, "a script isn’t finished. A script is only finished by the process and the production." If I didn't believe in those words, I would not be writing for the theatre. The oddballs, seekers, and Others that end up populating my worlds are part of a skeleton that does not come fully to life until, one by one, various layers are added by directors, designers, actors and crew. Collaboration fuels and inspires me, and it is always when I am surrounded by other theatre-makers, that my best work emerges.
