Jared Strange is a PhD Candidate and Mary Savage Snouffer Fellow at the University of Maryland, as well as a writer, dramaturg, scholar, and teaching artist based in the Washington, DC area. Jared Strange is a PhD Candidate and Mary Savage Snouffer Fellow at the University of Maryland, as well as a writer, dramaturg, scholar, and teaching artist based in the Washington, DC area. His plays have been produced and developed across the United States and in Europe, including at the MeetFactory in Prague, DC Source Festival, Bath Fringe Festival, Dayton Playhouse FutureFest, William Inge Theatre Festival, the Lubbock Community Theatre, Florida Atlantic University Theatre Lab, Texas Tech University, and the University of Maryland. As a dramaturg, Jared specializes in new play development, audience engagement, and creating educational materials for young theatre-goers. He has worked locally with Rorschach Theatre Company, The National Theatre, Young Playwrights’ Theater, and Shakespeare Theatre Company as a dramaturg and teaching artist. Her conniving family and friends have noticed, too, and they immediately set about finding a way to use Darla's gifts for their own gain, forcing her into the age-old dilemma of reconciling the will of God with the will of the people. Developed in the inaugural WildWind Performance Lab at Texas Tech, produced at state and faith-based universities, and recently honored with a spot at the Texas Educational Theatre Association's annual PlayFest.     After the attacks of 9/11 the United States government authorized the CIA to use so-called "enhanced interrogation techniques" on enemy combatants held in unofficial "black sites" around the world. This play, based on scenes devised by a director and ensemble, combines real documents and accounts with fictionalized characters and surreal sequences to explore the morality and absurdity of one of the "War on Terror's" darkest chapters. Produced by Texas Tech University, FAULT/LINE was the first all-American production to be staged at the prestigious MeetFactory in Prague. LOOKING FOR PRODUCTION.
