I'm a sucker for exploring intimacy - personal, cultural, erotic, queer, surreal, spiritual. How important it is and how tragic it can be when there's not. Or bittersweet when it is and not. Maybe with music.

I also like putting plays in worlds that are weird, or on stages that are "untraditional". Worlds like the bottom of the ocean, or an imploding multiverse. On stages like the round that rises and falls, or in concert with telephones, videos, and security cameras.

Finally, I like exploring the hybridity of identities - primarily through the lenses of language, religion, queerness, science, and Latine-American assimilation/representation.
