Artistic Statement

I grew up in motion. A mixed-race military family's only home — the only place in which that family *makes sense* — is any military base in the world. I write for the wanderers and explorers.

Language is power. Expression is power. I offer voice to young adults wading thigh-deep through maturation in the age of social media, climate disaster, and capitalist hunger.

I believe in womanhood, in all of its expression and variations. The language of femmes grows like moss, quietly, in the shade of patriarchy, and it is sacred.

As a stage manager, I know how plays move. I know how the gears of a theater groan as you build a story on its floors. I view stage management as central to my identity as a person, as well as an artist.
