Yourd (she/they) is a queer and neurodiverse playwright based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They hold an MFA in Dramatic Writing from the University of New Mexico and a BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where they studied devised theatre at Playwrights Horizons Theater School. Yourd's plays explore the possibilities of science fiction and other fantastical storyworlds in live performance while remaining grounded in the emotional lives of the characters that inhabit those worlds. Yourd’s solo show Gollum Girl LIVE recently premiered as part of Blackout Theatre’s The Monologists, and in summer 2026 will be seen at Denver Fringe, Omaha Fringe, and Indy Fringe.
