All of the scripts on this list have authoritarian themes running through them. They range from overtly political to intimately personal and from government to workplace to familial authoritarianism. The list includes dramas, dark comedies, satires, and sci-fi. Some are historical, some contemporary, and some set in the future. Many, but not all, take place in the United States.
