Our newest featured list comes courtesy of playwright Nelson Diaz-Marcano, who offers this introduction: "No matter where you go, Caribbean culture has touched your life. From pop culture to literature, the uniqueness of the Caribbean islands has made its mark on the global age. While its combination of Latinx magic and Afrocaribbean joy hasn’t taken over the theater yet, it’s just a matter of time before the uniqueness of the region explodes on stage. The following are some of my favorite plays by writers who were born in the Caribbean or who are part of the Caribbean diaspora. Their work illustrates how different we all are, but also how close we all are, too."
