Sarah Saltwick manages to weave a story that alternates between visceral, tense, tender, bloody, sad and shocking at any given moment. It is so rich with detail that reading it feels like stepping into a dark fairy tale.

A riveting, sensory story of survival in a crumbling world that has you at the edge of your seat! Well done.

This is a svelte three-hander about human kindness and curiosity. Masterfully crafted, alternateingly tense and tender. Sort of like that feeling of running down a hill. A must read coming of age play in a not-too-distant dystopia.

Cass: 30s, Female. Tough. A fighter. Has had many children but is not noticeably maternal.

Jackson: late 30s, Male. Strong, hard worker. At home on the Frontier.

Dove: 15 or 16, Female. Looks older than she sometimes acts. Healthy and full of life. Hungry for knowledge.

This play is set in the future in a world where racial identity is less distinct and most people are multiracial. Therefore, multiracial casting is encouraged but not necessary. Dove and Jackson should share some physical characteristics - it should be clear that they are related by blood.
