    I would love to see this fairy-tale musical come to life. This play will be fun for young artists and their families not just because of the clever twist on a classic tale, but the discussion that you can have. Yes, Brick is right -- you have to realize your limitations -- but when you share your life with friends your dream can come true and happiness is possible! My favorite part is when the Wolf goes down the chimney and comes out of the house and calls me a hypocrite for eating bacon!

  • STRAW
    A bundle of straw that longs to become a house.
  • STICKS
    A bundle of sticks who longs to become a towering structure.
  • BRICKS
    Bricks believes they are the only building material suitable for a house and scoffs at Straw and Sticks. They'll learn.
  • SAVELOY
    An English accented pig who thinks that building a brick house is the best way to keep out a wolf. In this story, they are WRONG and get eaten. (Off-stage)
  • CUMBERLAND
    An English-accented pig who dreams of building a tall tower that will keep away the Big Bad Wolf.
  • CHIPOLATA
    A little pig. ("They call me wee. I'm reclaiming it.") Chipolata longs for a warm, cosy house... out of straw? English accent.
  • BIG BAD WOLF
    Cool, laid back hep-dog.
  • LITTLE BIRD
    A small bird with an outsize personality. Puts up with no tweet from anyone.
  • BEAVER
    A friendly character, but not about to be pushed around by some masonry, Beaver's got work to do. Non-singing role.
