OCCUPY HALLMARK a ten-minute play

Sharp, funny and unexpectedly sweet. This short play sneaks up on you. What starts as a drunken anti-Valentine’s protest outside a greeting card store slowly transforms into heartbreak, loneliness, and the strange ways people try to protect themselves from vulnerability. Crackles with sarcastic humor and emotional moments. The play balances absurd comedy with real tenderness. Perfect for a Valentine's Day Short Play Fest.

A heart-felt ride through loss, coping, and the holiday bullshitery that we get slammed in our faces several times a year, Occupy Hallmark perfectly balances the inherent humanity in a heart break, and what happens when hope - in whatever costume it sneaks in through - arrives again.

Old school chums find each other years later and maneuver their way to an eventual meet cute. Well crafted tale with the inevitable twist at the end. Brava
