A magical piece of theatre about the awful nature of war. I would love to see what a set and lighting designer can do with this play. A play that one moment depicts despair and destruction and another moment shows peace and flourishing. At its center, this play has a flawed hero in the form of Zahra. This play has excellent roles for Middle Eastern actors.

Gorgeous world building. Complex characters. Fresh. Grounded in love and understanding. A must read.
