Saw this play in a festival and loved it. It's a delightful play, full of small surprises, wit and compassion, and more than the sum of its parts. An idea that could have been a mere skit becomes much more, a play, with complicated and unpredictable characters. Deserves a lot of productions. Well done.

Public libraries are under siege, and Maximillian Gill has the perfect antidote for the funding crisis. . . alcohol! Top Shelf Tolstoy is a skillful, timely, and wonderfully clever satire that serves up shot after shot of laughs and plenty of post-show food for thought. I had the pleasure of seeing the cocktails served up live and am still chuckling days after. Bravo!

This is so clever, and likely to happen in future towns, to be honest. But who am I to judge what someone finds a classic, be it Tolstoy or a classic 'Tini! Both are valid choices.
