A unique and powerful look into the daily struggle of someone dealing with compounded mental health issues. Heartfelt, gut-wrenching, and darkly funny, Courtney Seyl welcomes people into Alex's psyche with open arms and doesn't shy away from making us uncomfortable on the journey to understanding.

ALEX: a woman in her 20’s, any ethnicity. She has compulsions that are repeated throughout the piece, things she struggles to control but cant i.e. checking her phone every minute, touching her thumb to her other fingers, pulling a certain strand of hair. They are small, but noticeable.

JEAN/ FRIEND/ GIRLFRIEND: Therapist, 20’s, any ethnicity. She can either be an actor or a voice over depending on the production.
If an actor is used: when ALEX is alone in her room, JEAN/FRIEND should appear as if in a dream, using a spotlight and staging them either further upstage or downstage. They should be characters as ALEX sees them rather than as they really are.
