Just Dessert

A sibling doesn't want to search for the afikomen, the symbol of redemption at the Passover Seder, so bets a family heirloom on it.

This is such a sweet and tender play. JUST DESSERT sees two siblings trying to carry on with life and tradition while their mother lays ill.
I particularly appreciate how the characters are simply named A and B, giving the option of a whole myriad of casting possibilities.
    A very nice short play.

This play sneaks up on you in the best possible way. So much is revealed in the span of only ten pages. An exploration of family, tradition, sibling rivalry, Covid and loss, this play is layered and rich. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful and deceptively simple play. There’s so much to be mined here and I’d love to see it in performance.
