Peter Miller (late 20’s) An ambitious businessman from a well-to-do family. Wants to make his mark on the world.

Ursula (40’s) A German fashion designer who lives in Shanghai and speaks Chinese. She lived in the United States for many years. She is on a serious spiritual path.

Mr. Hsu (40’s or 50’s) Chinese toy manufacturer. A widower. A family man. Has integrity.

Ping-Ping Hsu (17) His daughter. Loves her father more than the earth.

Ensemble actor (male, 20’s) Plays various Chinese characters.
