This action oriented adaptation of the classic story is written almost entirely inside the submarine, with the audience along for the ride. Our Captain Nemo is a woman who has seen too much of war and has set herself up as the defender of the ocean, destroying all the warships she encounters. But her past is racing to catch up to her, as she is pursued by a foe from the past while being set upon by a horror from the deep.
