Elfriede has married a Jewish man and has lived as a Jew herself since her immigration from Germany to the United States in the late 1950s. It is discovered that Elfiede was a guard at that notorious camp. Elfriede must decide whether to reveal to her married son and his family her disgracefully past, or keep it a secret as she has done all these years.
