Rae is a person you can describe as a “disgruntled content factory.” Writing, producing, recording, she has fallen into a dark decline after a series of huge (seemingly life-changing) rejections and days upon days of being unable to do anything except watch YouTube. Armed with a camera, a timer, an audience, and their instrument, Rae has two hours to decide whether to give up on creating or not. I'm Fine Though explores our personalities when we are alone & online, how we interact with an audience, our mind, our body, & our music, and the desperate need to be famous.

    I'M FINE THOUGH. Or am I? This play hit me, hard, in a deeply personal way.

    Staying in the YouTuber universe, this play is a deep-dive into what it means to be an artist, or even just a person, in a similar vein of a video essay by Mia Cole, CJ The X, or Big Joel.

    I don't know how to end this recommendation, other than to say read it. And then maybe play around with singing one of Rae's songs, in whatever fashion you feel fits. And of course, enjoy.
