Here, In the Parlor of Psalms

"Here, In the Parlor of Psalms," is a fascinating, mysterious, intriguing piece. I can easily imagine it spicing up an American history class, being part of a series of plays about American presidents (or their offspring) or just being used to excite actors and audience. It's a historical work with real 19th-century sounding language, but a very modern sensibility - how do we deal with guilt? How do we deal with a sense that if only we had done more, life would have been different? And how do we manage these strong and strange feelings that suddenly come over us?
