On Christmas Eve, Celia’s only child, Kit confesses that she would rather live with her dad and his much younger partner beginning tonight, the couple’s wedding night. Left alone feeling powerless and enraged, Celia turns to alcohol and pills to escape her pain. Then her eccentric sister Louise shows up to help her out of her despair. In a drug-induced state, (is she dead? or just tripping?) Celia wakes up in an alternate dimension where the sisters review her past, present, and potential future. With a nod to the classics "It’s a Wonderful Life" and "A Christmas Carol," this seriocomic holiday play explores themes of letting go and moving on.

A WONDERFUL show to program at the holidays. This script illuminates how hard the holidays can be for folks, especially in blended families. As always, Ginna meshes heart with humor in this relatable and very funny holiday show.

A very funny and refreshing exploration of the ways the holidays can be messy and painful sometimes -- a gorgeous play with heart and wonderful roles for women.
