Strike/Out

Tuesdays are, for the Strike Sisters, a day for bowling, beer, and bickering. When tragedy strikes for a fellow team member, the remaining players are faced with the harsh realization that the place they go to for escaping their outside world problems may be becoming a problem in and of itself.

The way I want to see this play on stage! I love how integral the themes of routine are to this play and how the thing that we do every week that brings us joy can often become the thing that destroys the love of the game, whatever our version of the game might be. Engaging with what we love is a delicate relationship we can get burned by if we don't treat it right.

I never knew that Tuesdays at a bowling alley could be filled with so much drama, tension, and stakes! But don't be confused! As dark and dramatic as this play gets, there is so much comedy throughout this play. Each of the characters is complex, messy, and have equally compelling stories that spans gender, age, and backgrounds. You will go through the range of emotions with each of the characters and ultimately love this scrappy team of badass bowlers.
