A fascinating and gripping play. The core story of friendship and grief is just one element in a piece that encompasses so much. Feit manages to toggle between the comic and tragic with a deftness that easily brings us along. The use of text from the original play gives an added richness while the chorus keeps us grounded in the world. Feit keeps all of these pieces in play in such a way that every bit draws strength from everything else. Astonishing work.

I did not know The Dybbuk going into this play but I found myself following it very easily. This play perfectly captures how serious school theatre can be. It's also a moving depiction of the process of grief and how complicated teenage friendships can be. I loved the use of the teenage girl chorus. All of these roles are fantastic for female actors to really sink their teeth into. I'd love to see this produced in colleges all over.

A witty, gripping, and heartfelt interpretation of S. Ansky’s play. Love the exploration of life/death, love and desire, and the limitations of society.
