Wow. I know Tyla Abercrumbie as a fantastically gifted performer, so I'm not surprised she is finding such success now as a playwright as well. Once you start reading this play doesn't let you go. It pulls you in with quirky humor and before you know it you're in much deeper waters. The four characters are wonderfully real and flawed and passionate and at times bitingly funny. They are also heartbreakingly lovable. Carefully planted little character details return in satisfying ways as the story unfolds. Beautiful, poetic writing. I would love to see it staged! I recommend this one highly.
