Al and Charlie have returned to summer camp after a year apart – a little bit older and not at all wiser. On their first day back, Al meets a new camper named Jessie. Jessie’s cool and funny and gay and cute. Al is unprepared. New love and new beginnings follow.

An adorable time capsule of a play and a reflection on that place that brings back so many special memories, good and bad. Also, as someone who wrote a play about people around a campfire that also has music I’m very very bias to this play, I’m aware. The song choice is always immaculate and tells you exactly how the play should feel. It’s a wonderful guide map of music that ties this play in a wonderful bow. Would love to see a production of this:)
