    I am allergic to fun.

My vision of hell is loud and crowded. A 24-hour coffee spot or late-night art installation is my idea of a great time.

But every now and then... There's a party or a gathering or even, god forbid, a club! I might even be there by myself with my social anxiety and my body... and fuck if I didn't have a great time.

So thank you, Wren Aubrey Latham, for capturing River's (and my) trepidation and joy!

And for making her "any size." That did my heart extra good.

    Glorious!

I love theatre like "i went to a bar all by myself and i didn't die."

This monologue is a celebration of exploration, joy, exultation, sensation, awakening, transformation. The character of River has made a strong choice and her world has opened up a bit more because of it. Wren Aubrey Latham has written about being open to trying new things and how it can make our lives that much richer.

I love theatre like this. [24/10/11]

I love this character. More than a narrative monologue, more than telling a story. It's an epiphany, an awareness of desire and body, gaining pride and confidence. I would love to hang out with character! An actor will have fun with this.
