I love how we discover these characters, and then I love how they give us a very new view of the world from their specific pov while still chasing their own objectives. There are some super surprises. This play is chock full of fantastic choices that had me rooting for clay & cher til the end!

Loved this look into the lives of two pigeons in Central Park. SMJ really captures the struggles of pigeons trying to co-exist with humans. I definitely did not see the ending coming. Really great dialogue.

sundays in the park with clay & cher challenges the notion that we live in a better world (a smarter world, a safer world, a healthier world) than the generation before us and the generation before them BECAUSE senseless violence and a lack of respect for life STILL pervades every corner, including softball fields. But just as it shakes its angry fist, this beautiful and painful short play-that champions the power of companionship and acknowledges the model of self sacrifice-REMINDS us, when rationale and logic and forgiveness don't work...violence still begets violence. And, "...for what reason?" Bravo SMJ.
