In this play within a play (sometimes within another play), actors with prop scripts in hand earnestly invite us into their backstage world of makeup, make-believe, and messes. Avery, a passionate theatre hobbyist and sufferer of undeclared love, invites us to fall in love with this tight-knit group of struggling artists, some of whom are struggling more than others. Their stories weave together and apart in complex and sometimes ironic ways - and these actors aren't afraid to look you in the eye and tell you exactly how they feel.
