Oh, VICKI MEAGHER, I adore your brain and what it does with this crazy world in which we live. I was lucky to see this satirical short play at the 2023 Midwest Dramatists Conference. Anyone concerned with where we are as a nation will appreciate MEAGHER's artful use of language and tropes showing the ridiculously of it all. BRAVA.

This on-target satire is laugh-out-loud funny about a movement that is all-too-serious in our national culture right now. Like all good satire, it is sly, too, making you think amid the guffaws. Enjoyed it immensely at the 2023 Midwest Dramatists Conference. I can't imagine an audience that wouldn't!

One of my favorite readings at the 2023 Midwest Dramatists Conference! This was SO funny -- and pointedly so. The overall concept, while (unfortunately) not too far off from our current world, is played to absolutely hysterical extremes. Beyond just the humor and the social commentary, Meagher also uses a unique multi-scene structure that I don't often see work in 10-minute plays -- but here, thanks to the playwright's expertise, it works beautifully. Highly recommended!
