This play demands a talk-back. And a talk-back to that talk-back. Barr has written a magnificent two-hander about who controls the narrative. With apt criticism of the entire industry, but especially that of academic theatre, “New Oleanna” is the show we need right now, five years ago, and probably five years from now. Beneficial for any theater, big or small!

Your jaw will drop after the second page and it will remain on the floor until you’re done. Few plays accomplish gnarly violence and deep examinations of modern feminism, but “The Sporting Life” by Marjorie Muller does both while keeping you laughing. A truly electric work for an ambitious creative team!

Must See TV now exists on the stage. Dawes has created a captivating, weird, jarring, joyous, and terrifying look at reality, television and otherwise. Through all the facades, there is a deeply human story here. Such a remarkable challenge for actors. Cannot wait to binge this whole play cycle!

Lyra Nalan’s “Paper Dream” is an act of theatre magic. Vibrant and complex characters, a setting steeped in history, and a tragic inevitable story make this play such a necessary edition to the canon. Incredible opportunities for actors, directors, designers… all theatermakers!
