This is a very moving, sad and almost desperate short play by Claudia. I admire how the author makes the bear palpable, he epitomises her hopes and fears. Staged with an actor, or actors varying in size will be so powerful, showing the audience the full severity of Alice's fears. I feel for Alice, I know she wants this long planned for trip to Italy, but will she go? Beautiful and moving.
