Excellent play. Dramatic, emotional, to the point, still relevant. I loved the line Gittel says to Rubin: "is your arm broken?" Reminds me of a Nora Ephron movie where her husband Carl Bernstein says: "where's the butter?" You've scored again, Arianna. Feisty genes.

Forced into marital servitude, Libby seemed to have abandoned her dreams, hopes, and self-care and taught her daughter Gittel how to follow the rules and serve men- until Gittel was about to be coerced into following her mother's footsteps. Ariana Rose's "A KNIPPLE FULL OF DREAMS" is a wonderfully crafted period piece that resonates with today's world. The play generates a warm, glowing feeling; it is an incredible feel-good story about hope, courage, and motherly love. Brilliant!

One will root for Gittel immediately. She is well aware of what she wants. And it's not feeding men, even her second-cousin Rubin, nor being sold to the million-year-old neighbor. Pleading with her father does no good. But her mother has an answer. Her sister in New York "will know what to do." Oh yes, she will. And the last line - perfect. You don't have a nipple, start today.
