As Sycorax washes up on shore mid-labor, Ariel turns to the great fey who occupy the island to save Sycorax and Caliban.     An imaginative and thoughtful prequel to The Tempest that strikes a perfect balance between heightened language and clear storytelling. This would be an amazing accompaniment to a Shakespeare production, but also stands on it's own as a story of a mother and son seeking justice and healing. Full of great design opportunities and meaty but flexible roles for actors, I would love to see this on stage.
