The settings change fast and the comedy comes faster in THE IMPOSSIBLE NARRATOR by James Binz. As each scenario unfolds, the audience is also treated to a farcical take on tropes in each genre, laughing along at them with the characters. There's lots of action throughout, making this short play high energy for any festival.

This lightning-fast short play is a fun traipse through multiple, easily recognizable genres. It’s highly physical, too, offering three actors a meaty challenge. But it’s the omniscient Narrator who cheekily controls all their fates. Four fun roles and a quick pace would really deliver a crowd pleaser. Perfect choice for a festival of short plays.

I love the breakneck pace of this piece, as the actors frantically try to adapt and "yes, and" every new twist the narrator throws their way. Not only a funny play showcasing the versatility of the three actor characters, it also feels a bit like a love letter to all the hardworking actors in all the tiny theaters out there, who will give absolutely 110% to make sure they put on the best show possible. Even these actors, when they think they've hit their limit, climb back on stage. I love it!
