There's so much here to rebel against. Three characters, three careers, and a million dollars in spent money all riding on a misogynist film scene. Will the star hold her ground? Or will Hollywood protect its investment at the cost of one star's dignity? Cast with three women, it makes an interesting conundrum and is quite thought provoking.

09.22.24 - Like watching Carl Denham himself sweet talk Ann Darrow into being the original second banana to the 8th wonder of the world, this play from James Binz hints at a less flattering side of movie making. There's more going on behind the glib fast talk all in service of giving the public what they want. Here the agent's job is ALSO on the line. Binz has fun here with these characters, but you realize that the Ape isn't the real monster of this piece.

A short comedy that highlights the dark side of being a woman in the film industry. On camera or off! It's so hard to get work on camera, the fear of losing that spotlight is often all it takes to get someone to give in to pressure! I love that this is an all female cast, too! It heightens the comedy in a new and surprising way!
