  • Alice / Red Queen
Femme presenting. An artist, bohemian, anxious, depressed, and in denial. Privileged, but unaware of it. Diagnosed with Bulimia Nervosa. The Red Queen, as described, is loud, belligerent, controlling, and bossy; she is Alice’s neurotic alter ego through which her eating disorder is manifested.
    Character Age
    21+
    Character Gender Identity
    Female
  • Dr. Catherine/Mom/Narrator
Femme presenting. Grounded, professional, and deeply cares for others. She leads the Group Therapy sessions of her own accord to try and do some good in the world. She has seen a lot. Mom is sensitive, wails a lot, and only likes to talk of happy things.
    Character Age
    30+
    Character Gender Identity
    Female
  • Dee
Femme presenting. Depressed, hurt, rough on the edges and cynical. She does not trust easily or often. As sarcastic, if not more, than Alice. She has been anorexic for over a decade and in and out of various therapies and treatments. It’s unlikely she willingly sought out treatment to begin with.
    Character Age
    21+
    Character Gender Identity
    Female
  • Missie/Sister/Others
Femme presenting. Shy until she’s comfortable, but not afraid to stand up for herself. Optimistic. Diagnosed with binge eating disorder, however it is more likely that she has OSFED, and has likely been misdiagnosed, causing her to do a lot of research and work on her own. Sister is very pregnant the entire show, and she is matter of fact, dominant, and headstrong in her opinions. Like Alice, she believes she is right.
    Character Age
    21+
    Character Gender Identity
    Female
  • Zara/Doctor/Others
Muslim. Femme presenting. Self-aware, welcoming, and speaks her mind freely. She very much wants to recover from her eating disorder. It’s likely she too has been misdiagnosed, leaving her to do a lot of research and work on her own. Diagnosed with Bulimia Nervosa.
    Character Age
    21+
    Character Gender Identity
    Female
  • Maryn/Dietician/Others
Trans or non-binary. Anxious. Humor as a defense mechanism. They feel safe in Group and seek to provide that same space for others. Self-aware, and likely realized they had a problem on their own, without any outside influence or resources. Diagnosed with OSFED and fluctuates between restrictive eating and binge/purge behaviors.
    Character Age
    25+
    Character Gender Identity
    Non-binary
  • Harry/Dad/Others
Male presenting person of color. Very much “Big Brother” energy. He feels at home with Group and is comfortable expressing himself. He likely sought out treatment on his own. Dad is almost a stereotype: he does not show emotion well and says very little.
    Character Age
    25+
    Character Gender Identity
    Male
